What could possibly be next 2012?

We have now been living in China for 10 months among local Chinese people, eating Chinese food, and learning about Chinese culture. We have learned a ton about the Chinese way of living, but have learned so much more about ourselves through this experience and what we really want to be doing with our life. We still have to pay bills and be somewhat responsible adults and parents so we can’t go crazy here, but lets just say we are trying to go as crazy as possible.

Lessons Learned

The largest lessons that we have learned in the last year is that if you want to do something it is truly up to you. You can’t blame it on kids, money, relationships, or whatever your flavor of defeat might sound like to you. If you want something and are determined to get it then you will. Don’t think the tooth fairy is going to come and deliver your wish under your pillow. It will cost you some tears, some anguish, and who knows maybe a few drunken nights, but ultimately it is up to you.

This is scary as hell!!

Once we realized this we were even more depressed and scared than ever before.

Why?

We realized that it was up to us to make it or break it. We now realized that we can do anything. We have beautiful blue passports that represent freedom at every border we cross and know that we are smart people who can and will accomplish a lot in our lifetime! Okay…so now what do you do?

What do you do when you realize you can do anything?!

Two months ago we started grappling with this question as we had to make some serious decisions. What did we want to do, now that we had seen the light? We knew that if we wanted something we just had to work hard, be patient, and be good people and what ever was meant to happen would. We would end up exactly where we were suppose to. But where the hell is that anyway?

There are some big projects that I will be releasing over the next couple weeks.

Both Zeek and I are rolling out some big projects and we are going to be planning a big trip as well.

Are you thinking of taking the leap of a project for 2012? What is it?

I would also love to hear about it.

Looking forward to your announcements! You got me thinking about projects I should create for my 2012. I’ll keep you posted…. sometimes my “mom-hood” keeps the blinders on and just taking one day at a time has me missing out on the big picture of my life.

We finally got our first “big” (4in) snow fall yesterday. Now it finally feels like winter.

Ang, You know that is exactly why every year we try to sit down and do our goals for the year. It is so easy to keep your “mom-blinders on and not see what is out there. It is something that you have to keep an eye out for, it happens to me all the time. Here there is no heat and 50 feels like 30…inside and I wish we had some snow to look at out our window. I bet Caleb is loving it.
