Website Updates

I am happy to announce that our new website is finished and that there are lots of new features!! When I say new features, I mean new features. I am so happy and have to thank Zeek for all of his hard work and patience in dealing with me (a non techy person). I am sure my description of wanting a little button here or a little thingy (yes, that is a technical term) was not easy.

Let’s check out all of our new features!!!

We have broken our categories up to five sections; Home, Explore, Recommended, Services, and About. The one I am most excited about is our services page.

International Cravings is now offering  Cross Cultural Training, Language Training, and Packaged Solutions. Each and everyone of these services is necessary for a family or individual to succeed when looking to relocate to a new country.

We have currently been giving two personalized Cross Cultural Training sessions a week to families looking to move abroad. When preparing to move abroad there are lots of questions one has and many things that you need too be prepared for.

We handle packing lists, cultural assimilation, finding housing, visa and passport requirement concerns, international mail service, international insurance, schools for children, and settling in to your new home. We have you fill out a needs analysis questionnaire from which we create your training. Your training is personalized to fit your needs.

Our Language training is not just for those looking to move abroad. Language training also encompasses how to help your child learn a second or third language. We believe that it is very important for children to start learning languages at an early age and assist in giving you the tools necessary to make the learning process an easy one for you and your child.

We offer Packaged Solutions for those that are looking for specific information. Some of our most popular packages are our Adjustment Training and Trailing Spouse Course.

Pretty Updates: (I love these)

Since Zeek and I couldn’t decide on a color for the heading of our site we came to the best decision possible. Leave it up to our readers, so you can customize the color of the heading to whatever you like!! Isn’t that awesome?!

In the top right hand corner you get to select your color of choice. It is a lot of fun and you can change it at any time. Click on the drop down that says change theme. There you can pick city (Zeek’s favorite), Coffee, (my favorite), Magento (Lupita’s favorite), red, and green.

Latest news and pictures is featured now at the top of the site. This is where you will find what is new and exciting.

Hola, ní hǎo, hola, γειά σου, привет, bonjour! What language do you prefer?

Now on our site you can choose. In the top right hand corner you can select your language of choice. This way we can connect with people from all over the globe. I hope everyone enjoys this feature. Even if you only know a little of another language try it out! It is a lot of fun!! Thank you Zeek for adding this.

Please share with others. We are trying to reach out to more of those who find our content interesting and valuable. If you know of anyone who might enjoy following us or that is looking at making a move abroad themselves and would be interested in our services please have them contact us.

I want to know what kind of stuff you do for “trailing spouse”?
The language capability is cool- but Turkish didn’t work when I clicked on it. Most all other languages were working.
Nice job- the site looks great- you are lucky to have such a talented husband!
    Love U, Nonna Penny

    Great question Nonna Penny!
First I would like to say that I don’t like the term trailing spouse…sounds like someone is left behind…but that is industry norm. The trailing spouse course includes information on how to help the spouse that is left at home become comfortable with their new home. They normally don’t have the normal work interaction or dinner meetings that the non-trailing spouse has. So this helps them find and join groups that might be of some interest to them or even help them find a job or join a sport team. Basically anything that makes their new home actually feel like home.

What color did you choose for your theme…the language option is very cool. I love it.

Yes I am very lucky to have such a talented and patient husband. 😉
