Check out your local library

In our search for educational material on China and how to speak Chinese we have found a very important resource right in our back yard. Our Library. I honestly can’t believe that we were not coming to our Public Library more often. I don’t know what I thought was going to be there, but that seemed like the last place I wanted to take 2 kids.

After a search for books on China and how to learn Chinese at a local book store, I realized that we could not afford to buy all of these books and then what to do with them after we left. So in a brave move I journeyed to our Public Library with our 3 yr old crossing my fingers that it would all work out. Boy was I wrong! It was AMAZING!

Local Library

I could not believe the children’s section. It was a far cry from what I remember my public library experience being. They have games, Legos, a huge light house for kids to climb in and play with. There are so many different activities that I honestly couldn’t keep up. There were magic shows and puppet shows, and of course books. haha Our 3 year old never wants to leave and has such a great time. Another added bonus is that this is all free, that of course requires you to bring your books back in time. lol

We now have included the Public Library into our weekly routine. A big high five to the Public Library system, and of course a thank you.
